will never be the "only new kid at camp." Our returning campers, some of whom have been at camp for 7 years and some of whom just started last summer, are extremely welcoming and are always excited to be tour guides for new bunkmates. By the time dinner is served on the first day, your child will be so immersed in the structure and safety of Starfish that we're pretty sure that even they won't remember that it's their first time at camp! However, if that night, you're still sitting up wondering how the first day went, just call us. We'll be happy to share with you how the first day went and what's coming up the next day for your child's bunk and activity group. |

We know that having your child spend time away from you is never a decision made lightly. The entire Starfish staff team takes the responsibility of your child's care, safety, and growth very seriously. In fact, it's our primary concern from the minute your child arrives at check in until you leave camp together at the end of visitor's day. |
"You always wonder about the ‘what ifs’ when you send your child away to overnight camp, especially when they have special needs. You have proven that Camp Starfish is not only very well run, but that there are an incredible group of people working there who are experts in what they do and certainly go the extra mile. I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone involved with taking care of [my daughter's] asthma attack in such a quick and responsible manner. Everyone from the nurse, who not only acted quickly on Jessie’s behalf, but also helped to alleviate our fears, to [the staff] who by being with her the entire time, made a major difference on how smoothly everything went and certainly helped to keep her calm." |
All of us here at Camp Starfish believe very strongly in making connections with people. We know that task of finding the right summer program for your child starts long before the application form comes into our office, and we look forward to partnering with you during this process. If you would like to speak with a Director at any time, please feel free to call the office at 617-522-9800. We're here to help. |
Each year at the end of camp, we conduct a parent/guardian survey so we can learn more about the experience campers and their families had at Starfish. Since each of these families were also at one time "first time families," we asked them to answer the questoin "What would you like to share with parents/guardians of potential campers?" Their replies are below. You can also see additional results from the survey here. |

If you would like to speak to other parents/guardians, we will be happy to set you up with a phone call or email from one of our family references; please contact our office (by phone, 617-522-9800 or email) to arrange a reference call, to learn about visiting the camp, or to speak with us about your child's individual needs. |
