Camp Starfish works under the premise that providing individualized attention to children in need will help them to learn new skills, improve their self-esteem, and enjoy emotional growth.
At camp, we focus on teaching children how to interact appropriately in a social group, play cooperatively on a team, and resolve conflicts verbally
and peacefully. Campers also work on individual goals, all while being active outdoors, exploring their talents and interests and having fun. We're the camp for kids who, for a myriad of reasons, have been unsuccessful in other camps and programs. At Starfish, they succeed, grow, learn, and have fun. Their families receive respite and support.

The success of Camp Starfish is contingent upon the generosity of individuals, foundations, community support, and corporations. It costs over $5000 for one child to attend Starfish. All campers receive camperships to reduce that cost directly from Starfish. What Starfish gives a child literally can change their life and the lives of their family members.
